In the bottom-left corner of the screen, you will see a cog icon ⚙️. Select this icon to access your settings.

From the Settings menu, you can:

Manage your Accessibility Options including change font size and enable dark theme
Set your communication preferences by choosing how you'd like to receive notifications. You can enable SMS, email, and push* notifications, and, where available, opt in to receive digital letters from participating healthcare providers.
*You will only receive push notifications on mobile devices.
Contact Details allows you to update the email address or mobile phone number associated with your NHS Login. These are the contact details used to send your Portasana notifications.
Please note that updating your contact details here does not change the information held in your electronic patient record (EPR) by your healthcare provider.
On compatible devices, you can also enable Fingerprint or Face ID for faster and more secure access to the app.
Provider Terms and Conditions displays any terms and conditions published by your healthcare provider for you to review.
You can withdraw your acceptance of non-mandatory terms and conditions at any time from this page. However, withdrawing acceptance of mandatory terms and conditions may result in your account being disconnected from your healthcare provider.
Mandatory terms and conditions are identified with an asterisk (*).
Data Sharing Preferences - have full control over your personal data. Option to view and be able to revoke any agreements already in place plus accept any new agreements. Warning, if you turn off a provider T&C’s you will be disconnected from that provider.
My Profile allows you to update your personal preferences and demographic information. From here, you can:
- Change your preferred language.
- Update your personal details, including your name, date of birth, and country (where permitted).
Users displays any people you are authorised to manage or access within the Portasana app (for example, dependants or someone you care for).
If no users are displayed, it may be because your healthcare provider does not currently use this feature within Portasana.
NHS Login Settings allows you to access your NHS Login settings page, where you can manage the details and preferences used to sign in to NHS services, including the NHS App.
Contact Us will direct you to the Portasana Support Hub, where you can access patient support resources, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and contact Wellola Support for further assistance.
About provides details of the Portasana app version and build number currently installed on your device.
This information may be required if you experience an issue with your account and Wellola Support needs to confirm which version of Portasana you are using to help troubleshoot the problem.
Delete Account allows you to remove your Portasana account.
Please note that deleting your account will not remove your information from your healthcare provider’s records. Your provider will still retain a record of your account, but you will no longer receive notifications or be contacted through Portasana.
